Organist Gianluca Cagnani will perform in concert as part of the 12th Savona International Music Festival on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 9 p.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral.
The musician will perform a landmark work of organ literature by composer César Franck, a tribute to Anton Bruckner on the occasion of the bicentenary of his birth, a work by Julius Reubke, a student composer of Franz Liszt, of great technical difficulty because of its depth of expression, and a series of improvisations on musical themes proposed by the audience, which will highlight his great skill in extemporaneous creation.
